Where You Can Eat and Play at Hollywood Studios’ Toy Story Land
Disney World is home to four theme parks: Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom. The Hollywood Studios theme park has 9 different areas: Hollywood Blvd, Sunset Blvd, Echo Lake, Grand Avenue, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Commissary Lane, Pixar Place, Animation Courtyard, and Toy Story Land. Today’s post is going to look at all there is to discover and enjoy at Hollywood Studios’ Toy Story Land. Do not be deceived, this area is not only for young children. It is for anyone who has fallen in love with Andy’s Toys, guests who love to be submerged in video games, and who want to have fun with some toys. Toy Story Land is accessible through Pixar Place or Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. The immediate access from the front entrance of Hollywood Studios is Pixar Place. It’s at the very back of the park. All of the Toy Story Land attractions, shops and dining open at park open. Making it a popular spot to stop first. So shrink down to toy size and find out what’s in store for you at Hollywood Studios’ Toy Story Land.
Attractions
Toy Story Mania!
This ride has no height restrictions, so the whole family can participate. Guests wear 3D glasses as they ride through carnival style video games. There are a number of games the players play while strapped into their cart. During each game you earn points. Be careful, because the carts spin quite quickly.
Alien Swirling Saucers
One of the attractions with the shortest height requirement is Alien Swirling Saucers. The height requirement is 32 inches or taller. Typically kids 2 and up. This attraction features those loveable aliens from Pizza Planet. Guests will hop into a spaceship and be swung around slowly, and then quicker and quicker as the ride goes on.
Slinky Dog Dash
One of the most popular rides at Disney World, even with the opening of the Star Wars attractions, Slinky Dog Dash is a thrilling roller coaster ride that has guests climbing, swooping down, and taking quick turns, all in our favourite dog Slink. The sound effects on this attraction are fantastic!!! You hear the slinky making noise the whole way along. This ride also has a height requirement of 38″. This is typically kids 4 and up.
Entertaiment
Green Army Men Drum Corps
Directly in front of Alien Swirling Saucers, Army Men will stop and perform their Drum routine for any passer bys. They may even ask you to join in. These may appear to be random and impromptu but they are actually schedules, so check your Times Guide to see when they will be appearing the day of your visit.
Meet Jessie
This cow girl is making daily visits in Toy Story Land. She typically can be found at the base of her larger than life statue near the entrance of Toy Story Land.
Meet Woody and Bo Peep
Woody and Bo Peep have been greeting guests in Toy Story Land together since the released of Toy Story 4 last summer. They can be found near the entrance of Toy Story Mania!
Meet Buzz Lightyear
Buzz Lightyear daily meets guests near the the entrance of Slinky Dog Dash.
Green Army Patrol
Several times a day, a group of army men come to Toy Story Land to train recruits. With several props in hand, these army men will command the attention of any passer by. Check your daily times guide for details on when they will make their appearance near Woody’s Lunchbox.
Dining
Woody’s Lunchbox
This hot spot is found just past the entrance of Toy Story Mania! Come enjoy breakfast, lunch, dinner or a snack at this delicious quick-service restaurant. They are open from park open until park closed and they have mobile ordering. For more details on the restaurant click here.
Shopping
The online map does not show any shopping but do not be concerned there are two places you can shop for one of a kind Toy Story merchandise. One is found at the exit of Toy Story Mania. The other is a cart set up across from the entrance of Toy Story Mania. The store inside Toy Story Mania has clothing, toys, apparel, and kitchen ware. The cart outside has more plush toys and action figures. You can find more Toy Story items at the Beverly Sunset Boutique on Sunset Blvd.
For one of the hottest spots at Walt Disney World there’s not too much to do. Which is truly fantastic because it allows you to explore other areas of the park. This area of the park is similar to Pandora at Animal Kingdom. With a couple attractions and a great eatery, you can spend a portion of your day being a kid again amongst Andy’s favourite toys.
