Walt Disney World Vacation Tip: Use Mobile Check In
Walt Disney World does a fantastic job of hearing out guest’s feedback. From this feedback they make adjustments and changes to make their experience better. One of the latest changes at Walt Disney World that makes your experience better than ever is Mobile Check In. Guests don’t have to wait for their dining reservations any more! It is truly a game changer.

When it’s time for your meal at your Walt Disney World restaurant, you can simply check in from your My Disney Experience app. Instead of checking in with the cast members at the hosting station and then waiting until your table is ready, you check in on the app and you’ll be notified by push notification or text message when your table is ready.

Simply follow these easy steps:
- Log in to your My Disney Experience app.

2. Your dining reservation will appear on your home page. Underneath the heading will be a Check In icon. Tap it.

3. Confirm the ages of the members of your party.

4. Request Mobility Accessibility

5. Inform Special Dietary Requests

6. Highlight any special celebrations

7. Choose how you would like to be notified, via push notification or text message.

8. Submit.

You can check in when you are within close proximity. During our last Walt Disney World vacation, the exact distance wasn’t consistent. For our meal at Hollywood & Vine at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, I was able to check in at Toy Story Land. For our meal at Topolino’s Terrace, as soon as we got on the resort property I was able to check in.

The beauty of using this mobile check in, you can wander around while you wait. When we ate Ale & Compass Restaurant at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, I checked in as we walked to the restaurant. Our table was ready by the time we arrived. During our Disney’s Hollywood Studios day, we perused the shops on Hollywood Blvd until we got our notification.

I can not recommend using this enough. The kids were oblivious to the fact we were waiting for our table and therefore weren’t asking over and over when we’d be seated. We were able to shop and explore instead of patiently waiting to be seated.
