Trip Preparation: What to Expect in the Mail
When you are staying on Walt Disney World property for your Disney Vacation you can expect a few things in the mail as your trip approaches. Keep your eyes out for these items, if they do not appear be sure to contact Walt Disney World to make sure they have your correct address.
Once you’ve made your initial decision of where to stay on your Walt Disney World vacation and maybe you’ve even signed up for a ticket and dining package. When that initial part of the planning is done you can expect to receive a fun little package in the mail. It will arrive anywhere between days and weeks after you make your reservations. Depending on whether you are an international guest or travelling within the US. This package is designed to help you better plan your personal Disney vacation based on the location of your resort. It also gives you information on the latest and greatest happenings at the parks, if you are going to be travelling during the fall or winter season you can expect some information regarding the Christmas party and the Halloween Party. Receiving this package in the mail increases the excitement and reminds you that there is still lots of planning ahead. My favourite part of this booklet is the last page, Your Important Dates to Remember. These have the specific dates for your reservations. Such as dining and FastPass+. Giving you a leg up on all those staying off site. This booklet can be a perfect place to write down all your reservation numbers, for your dining reservations and any tickets you book after this booklet is sent out. You will receive all these numbers via email, and they are on MyDisneyExperience. But if you have it your booklet you don’t have to worry about MyDisneyExperience being down during any part of your trip. It’s also small and compact, making it the perfect size for your park backpack. Take the time to read through this booklet to find out about Extra Magic going on at each of the parks, like Tours and Meal Packages. We’ve spent many hours looking through these booklets with our kids, getting everyone excited for the upcoming vacation.
If you are flying on this vacation, through Orlando International Airport, you can expect Disney Magical Express mail to arrive approximately 6 weeks before your vacation. You’ll need to register your flight to receive this package. This package will have your baggage tags and information as to where to find the Magical Express in the Airport. This information is very important so be sure to keep it in a safe place until your departure.
Those guests within the US can expect a box of MagicBands a few weeks before their departure. These are your MagicBands. Do not lose them. If you have your own personal MagicBands that you have purchased on previous vacations or from a Disney Store be sure to decline your MagicBands at least 6 weeks before your vacation to avoid receiving MagicBands you don’t need. Same goes for those looking to use MagicBands from previous vacation. International visitors can pick up their MagicBands upon checking in at your resort.
With these three packages you’ll be all planned and ready to spend a memorable vacation at the happiest place on earth. Happy Planning.
