Trip Preparation: Daily Park Schedule
Who remembers when the only way you knew what was going on at the parks were the handouts you can receive upon entering the park or in your welcome package upon arriving at your resort? These days you can get so much information on Walt Disney World’s website and on the MyDisneyExperience app. They’ve got character experience times listed, stage show times, and even some parade times are on their website months in advanced. My rule of thumb is to have a blueprint for our days using these tools by FastPass reservation day. I try to map out our park day, inserting our must dos, dining reservations and priorities for any given day. Having the times for many of the extra magical things already there helps with that. There are a few details that still remain ambiguous until a couple weeks before. Here are a list of experiences whose details only get nailed down within a couple weeks of the date.
Magic Kingdom
Move It! Shake It! Dance and Sing It! Street Party
Captain Jack Sparrow’s Pirate Tutorial
Casey’s Corner Pianist
Citizens of Main Street
The Dapper Dans
Flag Retreat
Let the Magic Begin
Main Street Trolley Show
Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire
The Royal Majesty Makers
Epcot
British Revolution
JaMMitors at Future World East
Jeweled Dragon Acrobats
Mariachi Cobre
Matboukha Groove
Rose & Crown Pub Musician
Serveur Amusant
Voices of Liberty
Hollywood Studios
Citizens of Hollywood
Disney Movie Magic
Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple
March of the First Order
Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away
Animal Kingdom
Flights of Wonder
Many of these appear to be impromptu entertainment. They add to your day. You may be enjoying some time in Fantasyland and come across The Royal Majesty Makers, so you stop and watch them perform. Or you’re coming out of the shops of Hollywood Blvd and see the Citizens of Hollywood improvising so you take a break and enjoy some laughs.
There are a few things on this list though that may be priorities for you and your fellow guests. Like the March of the First Order or Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire. In this case I normally look at the times currently scheduled for these performances. For our upcoming vacation the Move It! Shake It! Dance & Play It! Street Party is a must do for one of our Magic Kingdom days. We will be there on a Monday so I’ve looked at the times of this Dance Party for next Monday and have based our plans off of this. These times may change, they could alter anywhere between an hour or a half hour. I will look two weeks before to confirm and then adjust if need be.
Where do you find these schedules? Head to the entertainment page of Walt Disney World’s website. Select the park you’re looking for and then the date you want. The page you see will have all the special entertainment being offered for your date.
You can also change the page view to map so you can see where these things are located. You can add all these events to your itinerary which will shop up on your MyDisneyExperience app. Giving you a great reminder of the must dos for your magical day. Happy Planning Friends.
