Trip Chronicles: Thursday Non-Park Day

Yesterday was a fantastic Magic Kingdom day. We ate some delicious food at Be Our Guest in the morning and dinner at The Jungle Navigation Co. Ltd Skipper Canteen Dinner. I enjoyed the Chocolate Cake with Cashew Ice Cream for dessert, thanks to Orlando for Families for sharing this on instagram. I’m going to do a full day recap once we return from our trip because really I wouldn’t be able to do it justice after a full park day yesterday.

This morning I was supposed to be making my way to Saratoga Springs for their Derby Dash race they host a run every Thursday morning but unfortunately it is -1 this morning. I wasn’t going to make my way over there just to find it out it’s been cancelled. Instead we’re having a nice relaxing morning recouping from two full park days with two littles.

The plan is to spend sometime this morning at Disney Springs once it opens at 10am, enjoying a dining plan table service meal credit at T-Rex, some shopping at The World of Disney and get that Mickey Mouse S’mores off my food goal list. Originally we were going to be spending the rest of the day pool side back at Wilderness Lodge but with the cool temperatures we’re going to come back to the Wilderness Lodge and have some afternoon naps. My mom is coming by this afternoon to visit us and see the splendour of our resort. I can’t wait to show her our beautiful one bedroom villa at Boulder Ridge. We have a beautiful villa overlooking Bay Lake giving us a great view of the Electrical Water Pageant.

Today we’re going to end off our day with a visit to our DVC Lounge, the Top of the World Lounge at the top of Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Enjoying a performance of Happily Ever After and Once Upon a Time without park admission. Check out here where you can do the same.

The focus of today, for our littles, is to give them a much needed break after two big park days. We’re heading to Epcot tomorrow, with plans to explore the Festival of the Arts, spend time in Norway and watch some Broadway stars belt out some show stopping tunes. Tomorrow will be a long day for these littles, so these non-park days are crucial for keeping them rested and well.
