Trip Chronicles: M’s Wish List
Everyone has their own vision of their Disney vacation. Whether it’s sitting by the pool to finish a book, riding Expedition Everest as many times as possible, taking the every rides challenge or eating a Mickey Ice Cream every day of your vacation, we all have our own must dos. For this upcoming vacation I wanted to share with all of you our individual wish lists. Characters we want to meet, rides we want to ride and things we want to eat. Today we’re going to start off with Miss MacKenzie.
This will be MacKenzie’s third visit to Walt Disney World, her second stay at Wilderness Lodge and Saratoga Springs. She will be turning 5 on this vacation and will be experiencing many firsts. Her first trip to Hollywood Studios and Epcot. After a recent measurement she has now entered the 42” height category, gaining her access to a long list of exciting rides. She’ll also be staying on Crescent Lake for the first time at the Boardwalk Inn & Villas.
I asked MacKenzie to tell me which rides she was most excited to go on and this was her answer:
“Casey Jr. The one that goes up the ramp.” (I then asked her which one she meant, the dwarves mine train or the barnstormer, she clarified it was the barnstormer.) “Dwarves mine train, Lincoln’s excited to go on the Dwarves Mine Train too. The Beauty and the Beast ride (so I think she’ll enjoy Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage, as well as Enchanted Tale with Belle). I would like to go on Splash Mountain (under refurbishment). Oh ya! I’m excited to go on the Frozen ride, I’ve never been on that before. And the Toy Story ride.”
I asked MacKenzie which characters she was looking forward to meeting and she said:
“Moana (in the tune of Where You Are). Cinderella and Belle.”
I finished off our interview asking her if there was any food she was excited to eat:
“Ooo Mickey Mouse Waffles. And toast for breakfast. Maybe bagels.”
This little has handled so well the change of plans, from cancelling our trip back in September and now wanting so badly to see Moana, which I don’t think we’ll end up happening. As I was writing things down after asking her these questions she said “I would like to visit the Disney beach so I could collect a couple of shells.” This sweet child! What a reminder that the small moments of a trip can be the lasting memories. Maybe it’s a special interaction with a cast member, playing Maurice in Enchanted Tales with Belle, getting a high five from Sleepy as he passes during the Festival of Fantasy Parade. I’m so excited to see what our takeaways will be and to enjoy all the small and big moments with our family. Happy Planning Friends.
