Trip Chronicles: M’s Birthday
We are on our way to the Magic Kingdom this morning to celebrate MacKenzie’s 5th birthday. When we were initially making our plans for this trip I was hoping to do our two Magic Kingdom days while we were staying at the Wilderness Lodge because we would be in the Magic Kingdom Resort area. Making it easier to come and go from the park. But we told MacKenzie she could choose to do whatever she wanted to do on her birthday and she chose to go to the Magic Kingdom. Which really, who can blame her. I asked her what she wanted to do during her birthday celebration at the Magic Kingdom and these are the things she wanted to do:
Mickey’s Phillarmagic
Meet Minnie Mouse and Daisy
Meet Tinker Bell
Meet Jasmine
Meet Ariel
Meet Cinderella & Elena of Avalor
Meet Rapunzel & Tiana
Ride the Carousel
Ride the Dwarf’s Mine Train
Ride Splash Mountain
Ride Big Thunder Mountain
Take the Train
Watch a Parade
Watch Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire
With this in mind we planned our first Magic Kingdom day to not include those activities. Making today a day of stage shows, parades, characters and Fantasyland. We’ll be eating lunch at The Plaza Restaurant, giving us a beautiful view of Cinderella’s Castle. Mickey’s Royal Friendship is in front of the castle at 10:30am and the Move It! Shake It! Dance & Play It Street Party is at 12:30pm. Making our 11am lunch reservation a perfect time and location. We really did the majority of attractions and characters last week so today is going to be all about what M wants to do and who she wants to see.
Months ago, as we were planning this day, poor little Lincoln said “The next day we’ll be my birthday”. Sadly, it is not. But we are going to do a Star Wars focused Hollywood Studios day tomorrow for him. Our two kids are such a great team, I don’t see him having any jealous today in celebrating her.
Today is going to be a day filled with fireworks, singing at the top of our lungs, dancing to the beat, smiles and laughter. Today is a day to love on our beautiful girl as we celebrate 5 years of her brightening up the world around her. Happy Planning, Friends.
