Trip Chronicles: Jeff’s Wish List
My Disney Experience says 13 days to go! We’ve got the countdown underway, clothing has been tried on and washed, and magical mail has arrived. As we draw near to this upcoming vacation I’ve been sharing with all of you our wish lists. Things we are looking forward to enjoying while at Walt Disney World. Last week was Lincoln’s wish list, the week before was the birthday girl, Miss MacKenzie, and today I will share with you my hubby’s wish list. Coincidently, my husband, Jeff, will be on Disney property the week before this trip at a conference. He’s going to be staying at Port Orleans – Riverside for three nights. He’s thinking of checking out Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire at Disney Springs while on this work vacation and saving all the other exploring for our family vacation.
These are the attractions that Jeffrey is excited to enjoy:
Rock ’n’ Rollercoaster at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This is Jeff’s favourite ride at Walt Disney World. Aerosmith being his favourite band may skew his love of this rollercoaster. We don’t have FastPasses booked for this ride because neither of the kids will be able to come along with us, so we’ll chance it with the single rider line.
Pandora Flights of Passage. One of the major reasons we had planned our trip back in September, which was cancelled due to Hurricane Irma, was because of the DVC Moonlight Magic night at Animal Kingdom. Checking out the new addition of Pandora, as a benefit of DVC membership, was reason enough to head down to Walt Disney World. Now we will be in there with the crowds and the lines. Regardless going on a new ride is always something to look forward to.
Soarin’. Jeff’s other favourite attraction at Walt Disney World. We didn’t get a FastPass for this because we used our 1st tier FastPass reservation for Frozen Ever After, an attraction the whole family can enjoy. MacKenzie will be able to go on this one and it will be one she and Jeff will share together because it is one of his faves.
Seven Dwarf’s Mine Train. Jeff said he’s most excited for this ride because we get to enjoy it all together. Lincoln is in the 38” height requirement so the whole family will be able to ride this together, TWICE! With FastPass + booked for both of our Magic Kingdom days.
I asked Jeff if there were any characters he was excited to meet, and he said no. We’ve met the majority of them. We made an effort on our honeymoon to meet every character we came in contact with, meeting Mickey at each park, the Princesses’ at the old Princess Hall, and we’ve met many unique and hard to find characters during runDisney events.
When I asked about what food he was looking forward to enjoying he was quick to answer: Mickey Mouse Ice Cream Bars. There really is nothing like these novelty ice creams, they are delicious and should be enjoyed as much as possible. Jeff said he was looking forward to enjoying popcorn during the nighttime parade, which then made us remember there is no nighttime parade. A tradition of ours is to purchase the popcorn buckets and enjoy this snack while watching the Main Street Electrical Parade or SpectroMagic. This year we’ll have to enjoy this either during the Festival of Fantasy Parade or maybe at Fantasmic! Either way we will not be coming home without a new Disney popcorn bucket. Jeff said he’s also looking forward to enjoying some of the food that will be a part of the Festival of the Arts. I’m sure we’ll be glad to be on the dining plan that day. Maybe we’ll save up some of our snack credits for our Epcot day.
Overall, he says he’s excited to finally be going. When we cancelled our trip back in September we couldn’t book another trip immediately due to work commitments and then due to availability. This is the longest stretch we’ve gone without vacationing at Disney since we’ve purchased our DVC membership. I think Jeff is going through withdrawal. Needless to say, he is excited perhaps more so than the kids. Happy Planning, Friends.
