Trip Chronicles: Changing Resorts
Today we say goodbye to the Wilderness Lodge of the Magic Kingdom Resort area and hello to Boardwalk Inn & Villas. We’ll be spending the remainder of our vacation here. Four nights, all of which include an extra guest, my mom! She’s come along for the last part of our vacation to celebrate M’s 5th birthday on Monday.
When doing a multiple resort stay on your vacation there are many benefits but there is an added element: moving. Many people love to unpack and settle in for the length of their vacation, when you’re doing a multiple resort stay this settling in does not last as long. After a few days you’re packing up your things to head to another resort. Not a big deal when there’s only two of you or your travelling with older kids. When you have little ones it can be a bit more difficult. The easiest way to move resorts is to call a cab. Put all your stuff in the cab and move in a quick short drive. Another way we’ve done it in the past is use park transportation. Transferring at one of the parks to our new resort. This can be tough if you have a lot of luggage. If you’ve rented a car than this can be fairly easy. I like to move on non-park days, that way it’s not in the back of my head all day knowing we’ve got to unpack and get the kid’s things set up. Our last trip Jeff went to our new resort, Animal Kingdom Lodge- Kidani Village, and set up the room while I stayed at the park with the kids. It was a good deal for me but not so much for Jeff.
Once moved in we’re going to make our way around Crescent Lake, enjoying some food, the different playgrounds and maybe it’ll warm up enough in the afternoon to enjoy the pool side activities. Hope you are having a fabulous Saturday wherever you are. Happy Planning, Friends.
