A Detailed Review of Disney’s Trattoria al Forno Restaurant
There are incredible restaurants found all over Walt Disney World, not just within the four theme parks. Some of our favourites are found at the resorts and one of these is Trattoria al Forno. We’ve dined here for both breakfast and dinner. The past year we dined here for breakfast and dinner was enjoyed here back when it first opened in 2016. An Italian restaurant that’s found on Crescent Lake at Disney’s Boardwalk Inn & Villas. The breakfast offerings and dinner offerings are very different.

For breakfast, diners will be greeted by four characters: Ariel, Prince Eric, Rapunzel and Flynn Rider.

It’s a prix fixed menu, that has guests starting with pastry appetizers.

You can then choose between steak and eggs, pancakes, a frittata, or my favourite Swimmers Delight (an egg white omelette with goat cheese and salmon). Kid’s can choose between pancakes, waffles, scrambled eggs or an egg white omelet.

You can grab a breakfast here very early, the earliest reservation is 7:30am. Giving you an early start to your non-park day or park day. You can have breakfast here and then head over to neighbouring Epcot or Hollywood Studios, using the boat transportation or walkways. Breakfast is served until noon so you can even enjoy brunch here. It should be on anyone’s list for must try’s at some point in their Disney Vacationing. We all loved our meals here and loved meeting these characters, it’s the only place you can meet Flynn Rider and Eric (outside of the Halloween and Christmas parties and runDisney events).

At dinner time you can expect delicious Italian options. From pizzas to pasta dishes. Trattoria al Forno has an open kitchen which creates amazing smells wafting through the restaurant. For an open restaurant it’s not too loud, you can have a nice romantic meal without spending the high prices of a Signature Restaurant. When we dined here a few years ago we had incredible service. I imagine that our server has now been promoted to some of the more exclusive restaurants because he was that good. Our food memorably delightful and there was a nice selection of wine both red and white. Make sure to save room for dessert because they have tiramisu and gelato. They’re open for dinner from 5pm until 10pm, which means you could always enjoy a late meal here after an evening at the park.
Both meals require 1 meal credit if you’re on the dining plan. The breakfast is extremely popular so make sure to be ready to make that advanced reservation if that’s when you’d like to dine here. Dinner is much easier to get, you can even get day of reservations. Just don’t wait to walk up because of the location. Reserve morning of if you’re intending on dining here for dinner.
