Renting a Stroller at Disney World VS Bringing Your Own
When heading to Walt Disney World with small children there are many things you’ll need to bring, for a detailed list of items you’ll want to remember click here. A stroller is an item you can choose to bring or rent when you arrive at Walt Disney World. But which choice is better for your vacation?
- Cost

Bringing your own stroller brings down the cost of your Walt Disney World vacation. Renting a stroller can cost upwards of $15 per day. Which adds an unnecessary cost to your trip budget.
2. Nuisance

Bringing your own stroller can be a bit of a nuisance. If you are driving to Walt Disney World then the stroller is going to take up space in your vehicle. When disembarking from an airplane you have to wait for the stroller, which makes catching a connecting flight very difficult. When you rent a stroller you don’t have to be carting it around before your park days.
3. Airports

There’s nothing I like more than strapping a small person in a stroller when I need to get somewhere quickly. By bringing your own stroller you can navigate airports much easier. This includes waiting in line at security. This is a pro in the bring your own stroller column.
4. Knowledge

When you bring your own stroller on your vacation you already know how it works. The buckles are fit to your child’s needs. You can spot it in the crowd of other strollers. You know all the features. This is a major pro in bringing your own stroller.
5. Double Strollers

At home you may have no need for a double stroller. But, when you think about your upcoming Disney World vacation you can’t help but imagine your older child getting exhausted from the full day on their feet. Renting a double stroller for the length of your vacation may be the option, instead of forking out the dollars for a permanent rig.
We’ve done both. We’ve brought our own on several occasions, renting one when we forgot to pack our stroller, and did a combo on our last vacation.
