Meet your Favourite Characters from Frozen
It’s hard to believe that Frozen came out in theatres back in 2013. Its mass appeal certainly hasn’t changed over the last 5 years. Meeting these beloved characters may be a top priority for your Disney vacation, so today we’re going to look at where you can meet three characters from Frozen: Anna, Elsa and Olaf.
Olaf
Celebrity Spotlight
Hollywood Studios, Echo Lake
Olaf has many warm hugs to give at this character meet and greet. Olaf is found in his tropical oasis. With sand, an umbrella and a cool drink for when he gets thirsty. At this character meet and greet you can expect Olaf to be larger than life. If your kids have not seen Olaf already in Mickey’s Friendship Faire, the stage show at the Magic Kingdom, then they may be very surprised to find him to be close to 5 feet tall. Not quite the small little snowman sidekick from the film. Olaf unfortunately can’t give autographs so the only thing you’ll get as a memento is a picture either from your Memory Maker package or from your personal camera or phone. When we met Olaf, the line didn’t seem very long but the wait certainly was. They let guests take their time interacting with Olaf and therefore the speed of the line is slow. So if this meet and greet is a high priority for you head there first thing or later in the day. The meet and greet is open from park open until park close. You can find this character experience location on the eastern side of the park, across from the Backlot Express.
Anna & Elsa
Epcot, Norway Pavilion
Anna and Elsa are prepared to meet their royal subjects in a cozy cottage found on the outskirts of the Norway pavilion. Luckily for Frozen fans, this pavilion opens up at park open, a couple hours before the rest of World Showcase. At this meet and greet location you will meet Anna and Elsa in the same room, similar to the meet and greet locations for the Princesses found at the Magic Kingdom. You will meet Elsa first and then Anna. Elsa is dressed in her ice gown from the film and Anna is dressed in her dress from her search for Elsa. If you have a big Anna, then the coronation dress that is commonly worn won’t match for this photo opportunity. But it doesn’t mean that it wouldn’t make for a great picture. We waited 20 minutes at park open to meet Anna and Elsa. Which wasn’t considerable but gives you an indication of how long the wait would be later in the day when most guests make their way through World Showcase. After meeting Elsa and Anna you’ll exit into a Frozen gift shop. This is a great place to find unique frozen apparel, toys and accessories. One thing I love about this meet and greet is the line. All over the walls there are pictures and quilts featuring Anna and Elsa as children. The details are incredible.
These are the only locations you can meet these Frozen characters face to face. There are a couple places you can see them as a part of a stage show or parade but these are the only places you can grab a picture and, with Anna and Elsa, an autograph. The only other places they sometimes show up are special events, such as Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, DVC Moonlight Magic Events, or at the runDisney Wine & Dine Half post race party.
