Magic Kingdom Restaurant: Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Cafe
The Magic Kingdom park has 42 places to eat. Of these 42 you have table service restaurants, a buffet restaurant, food kiosks, dessert parties and quick-service restaurants. Of all the quick-service locations at the Magic Kingdom Peco Bill’s is my current favourite. Peco Bill’s is found in Frontierland, which is on the Western side of the park and is close to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Splash Mountain and just past Country Bear Jamboree. We normally end up on this end of the park in the afternoon or evening because we typically do Fantasyland and Tomorrowland first. Making this an ideal location for dinner. There’s a number of reasons Peco Bill’s is a great restaurant for your Magic Kingdom visit: restaurant size, cuisine, food per cost, healthy choices, and location.
Peco Bill’s has plenty of seating areas. Whether you want to sit outside or inside, there are a number of rooms with chairs and tables for guests to eat at. The restaurant is broken up into a bunch of different rooms which makes it much quieter than the quick-service restaurants found in Fantasyland and Tomorrowland. The tables are round, giving you lots of room for your trays filled with food and drinks. Because the restaurant is so chopped up, have your group pick a table before having one party member go grab your food. If you send one person to grab a table while everyone else is in line you may spend 5 minutes with a tray full of food trying to locate them.
Peco Bill’s offers American Mexican food. There are 16 entree choices on the menu. There’s 4 different kinds of nachos, a fajita platter, rice bowls, my favourite: the taco trio, or you can be safe with a cheeseburger. You get to fix your entree the way you want it by loading it up with their toppings bar. Cheese, sour cream, salsa, lettuce, tomatoes, it’s all there for you to pile onto your plate. Our family could eat Tacos any day of the week so Peco Bill’s is an obvious choice for us. I know everyone is going to walk away filled up and ready for the rest of our park day.
With this restaurant’s toppings bar, you can basically add a whole salad to your entree. Making your meal huge for the cost. The average cost of an entree at Peco Bill’s is $12. The plates are platter size and filled with food. Well surpassing your $12 spend.
There are no fries to be found at Peco Bill’s. These meals are accompanied with rice, tortilla chips or not accompanied with anything at all. Why I love this is because my kids can so often get filled up on fries and not eat any of the food that’s going to give them the nutrition they need for these busy days. At Peco Bill’s, I know they’re going to have rice or beans, making me feel a little better about those Mickey Ice Cream bars they had earlier. For those who love salads, there are three meal sized salad options, as well as lettuce wraps. Making Peco Bill’s a safe haven for those looking for a healthy and satisfying meal.
Peco Bill’s is not an obvious restaurant. Unlike Casey’s Corner, Cosmic Rays or Pinocchio’s Village Haus, Peco Bill’s is something you have to search for. Because of this, the crowds are less dense. You won’t have to wait as long to order, you won’t have to wait as long for your food and you won’t have to search as hard for a table. If you’ve ever been in Cosmic Ray’s, the quick-service restaurant found in Tomorrowland, or Pinocchio’s, the quick-service restaurant found in Fantasyland, during meal time it is true chaos! It can put even the most even keeled vacationers on edge. Peco Bill’s on the other hand is a calmer atmosphere. Exactly what everyone needs at some point during their day at the Magic Kingdom.
If you and your party don’t enjoy Mexican fare then this obviously isn’t the best choice. But if you do, then make Peco Bill Tale Tall Inn & Cafe your destination for lunch or dinner.

How To Get There:
Peco Bill’s is found on the Western end of the Magic Kingdom. You can get here from Adventureland or Frontierland. The main entrance is found at the very end of the walkway before you have to turn left or right. If you make your way towards Splash Mountain from Liberty Square it will be the last building on your left. If you’re coming from Pirates of the Caribbean it will be on your right before you reach Splash Mountain.
