How to Use Mobile Ordering at Walt Disney World
Waiting in line for your food is not necessary at Walt Disney World. As long as you have your smartphone loaded with the MyDisneyExperience app, you’ll be able to order your food before arriving at your quick-service restaurant. It will then be ready and waiting for you upon your arrival. It’s fairly simple to use and can be used anywhere on the resort property for several of the property’s restaurants. This service is available for some counter service and quick-service restaurants, it’s not available for table service restaurants. We used it several times during our trip to Disney World in January and will always use it going forward. Take a look at how mobile ordering works.

There are several ways to get into the mobile ordering part of the MyDisneyExperience app, but this is the easiest.
Start by opening up the MyDisneyExperience app and logging in. At the bottom of the screen you’ll see a + icon. When pressing this you’ll have four options, one of which is order food. Click the Order Food option. In this window you’ll be choosing around what time you will be at the restaurant to pick up your food. You can then scroll through the restaurant choices to find the location you are looking for.
2. Pick Your Meal

After that’s been selected, the location and the time, you can then pick out your meal. You can order as many meals as you want, ordering for your whole party or just yourself. You can scroll the whole menu and make your selection.

When you choose a meal that comes with a side or drink, you’ll have the option to adjust your preferences. Just make sure to scroll down to check out all the things you have to choose from, otherwise you’ll end up with the recommended option. When you’ve finished making your selection click Add. You can continue to build your order until you have all the items you wish to have.
3. Review Your Order

At the bottom of your screen you’ll see a View My Order icon. By clicking this you’ll be brought to a review of everything you have in your cart. If you want to modify anything in your cart, you simply click modify order and you’ll be able to go back and modify anything you’ve added to your cart. Or if you’re done your order, click order summary. It’s here that you can change any payment method, adding a new one or selecting the one you already have on file. Then you simply have to purchase.
4. Prepare Your Order
At this point your order has been submitted but it has not been prepared yet. When you get close to the location of the restaurant you can click I’m Here Prepare My Order and the order will be prepared.
5. Pick Up Your Order

Your meal will be ready at a special window that is for mobile ordering only. You can use the confirmation number given to you to retrieve your order.
You can actually go through the majority of this process before you even go on your trip to get yourself familiar with the app and the process. Simply don’t go any further then Order Summary and you won’t be charged or have any food prepared. This way when you are ready to use the app on your trip you’ll be ready.
If you order your meal hours ahead of time, you don’t have to keep the app open the whole time. Simply close the app, and when you are ready for your meal to be prepared, open the app and click the icon with the three lines at the bottom right hand of the screen.

The window you’re brought to has a Mobile Food Orders icon. Click that and you’ll be able to reopen your order and have it prepared. It’s in this location you can also add new orders. Another one of the many places you can create a mobile order.

Using this app will save you time, and allow you to make a more sound decision on your meal choice than being rushed in line. For more information on dining during your Disney vacation check out these previous posts:
