How to eat inside Cinderella’s Castle

One of my favourite places to eat in all of Walt Disney World is a restaurant called Cinderella’s Royal Table. This restaurant is located inside Cinderella’s Castle at the Magic Kingdom. The restaurant is on the second floor of the castle and offers a beautiful view over Fantasyland. The restaurant has large stain glass windows and cathedral ceilings. All of the servers are dressed as if they are a part of a royal court. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and has a magical experience throughout the course of the meal. When dining here, guests will receive a wand or a sword. At some point during the meal, guests will be told to make a wish. And then with the wave of the wands and the swords, the restaurant will begin to sparkle. It’s a truly magical moment, when you experience it for the first time and especially in the eyes of young ones.

Now, as you can image this is an extremely popular restaurant. The chance to dine in the Magic Kingdom castle, I mean come on! It doesn’t get much better than that. It makes getting a table here very difficult, especially if you’re trying to get one day of. This is where making reservations 6 months ahead of time becomes pretty important. But of course, if you’re not planning that far in advanced check out these tips from previous posts on snagging a reservation last minute or within a couple months of your vacation.

Cinderella’s Royal Table is a character dining experience. Guests will meet Cinderella upon first arriving for their reservation. Your party will be called and then you’ll line up to meet this Princess in her blue ball gown. More characters will come to your table throughout the course of your meal. You’ll meet the Disney Princesses: Snow White, Princess Aurora, Ariel and Princess Jasmine. They’ll come to your table, take pictures with you and sign your autograph book. This is one of the four restaurants on site that have five characters at one location.

As you may expect, with such a stellar location, you are going to have food to match the quality of the ambiance. Cinderella’s Royal Table is a part of Walt Disney World’s group of signature restaurants. Which means the food is some of the best found on site. Of course that’s also reflected in the cost. When you’re making a reservation for this restaurant you will need to pay in full. If you’ve already purchased the dining plan then you won’t have to because you’ve already made your payment. Speaking of the dining plan, it will cost you 2 dining plan table service credits. The cost varies depending on the time of year. Dining here at a busy time of year, you’ll pay more than during a quiet time of year. Breakfast is going to cost $45-65 per adult and $35-45 for children. Lunch and Dinner are going to be $64-80 for adults and $45-65 for children. If you’re traveling with young ones who are a bit of picky eaters than I would suggest breakfast, because it’s a lot of money to spend for lunch and dinner just to have chicken nuggets. The breakfast here consists of breakfast pastries for appetizers followed by an entree of your choice. For lunch and dinner you’ll share a bread basket with table, each enjoy an entree and dessert. Included in the cost of the meal is gratuity and a copy of the picture taken with Cinderella.

The entrance to the restaurant is found in the castle’s passageway. You can access it from Fantasyland or Main St U.S.A. Since it’s so close to the entrance of Fantasyland you can always stop and see if they have any last minute availability. We did this once at Be Our Guest and they fit us in for an hour later. It’s worth a try.

This restaurant is for any party. Whether you’re here on your honeymoon, baby’s first trip or on a runDisney race weekend. It’s suitable for anyone and everyone. For more information on dining at Walt Disney World check out these previous posts:
