Disney World’s Hollywood Studios Rides By Height
Walt Disney World has four theme parks, each with its own theming and set of attractions. Each has rides that are suited for a variety of ages and interests. Some rides have height requirements to ensure the safety of the guests. Today we’re going to look at the rides at Hollywood Studios and which height category they fall into. This will give you a better idea of which rides your family can enjoy when they are visiting the park.
No Height Requirement
The rides listed below do not require guests to be of any height. Every member of the family can enjoy them. Not all are rides, some are more experiences, like a film or performance.
Toy Story Mania. Toy Story Land.
Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway. Hollywood Blvd.
Muppet Vision 3D. Grand Avenue.
Walt Disney Presents. Animation Courtyard.
Star Wars Launch Bay Theatre. Animation Courtyard.
Star Wars Launch Bay. Animation Courtyard.
Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy. Sunset Blvd.
Vacation Fun – An Original Animate Short featuring Mickey and Minnie. Echo Lake.
32 inches and Taller
The smallest height requirement at Disney World is 32 inches. There’s only one ride at Hollywood Studios with this height requirement and its Alien Swirling Saucers found in Toy Story Land. It’s got this height requirement because you can’t put a child on your lap during the ride.

38 inches and Taller
Guests have to be around 3 or 4 to be this height. On our last trip our son, 4 at the time, was thrilled to ride Slinky Dog Dash but decided to forgo Smuggler’s Run because he was too frightened.

40 inches and Taller
Kids will be approaching 5 when they get to this height. Just because they are tall enough does not mean that they will not be frightened by the ride. Tower of Terror is in this height category but not all kids tall enough to ride this ride will be able to handle it. Judge your child appropriately.

48 inches and Taller
This is the only attraction currently open at Walt Disney World with this height requirement. The height is so tall for this attraction because it harnesses you in and the coaster goes upside down. Again, just because your child is tall enough does not mean that it is appropriate for them.

It’s a very small list because this theme park has very few attractions. Entertainment is another element of this park that fills in the day.
