Epcot International Festival of the Holidays.
Step into Epcot as it’s submerged in the holiday traditions of the cultures represented. Each pavilion is decorated with the season and special holiday treats can be found at the carts and kiosks. Do not miss the Candlelight Processional. Each night the Christmas story is narrated by a celebrity while an orchestra and choir interject songs. This performance takes place in the American Pavilion at 5pm, 6:45pm and 8:15pm.

The Candlelight Processional is a very popular event, so you can bypass waiting in line for decent seats by enjoying one of the Candlelight Dinner Packages and receive reserved seating. The following restaurants are included: Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, Biergarten Restaurant, Ale & Compass, Chef de France, Coral Reef, The Garden Grill, La Hacienda de San Angel, Nine Dragons, Restaurant Marrakesh, Rose & Crown Dining Room, San Angel Inn Restaurante, Spice Road Table, Teppan Edo, Tokyo Dining, Trattoria al Forno, Tutto Italia Ristorante and Via Napoli. All these restaurant are a price fixed menu serving lunch and dinner, a few also offer breakfast. The package includes an appetizer, an entree, a dessert and a non-alcoholic beverage. If the restaurant is a buffet then you get the buffet. Call and make reservations ahead of time.
Gingerbread Houses at Disney Resorts
Every Christmas season, beautiful and life size gingerbread creations pop up at a number of Disney resorts. Last year they appeared at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort, Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Beach Club Resort, and Disney’s Yacht Club Resort. So resort hop to these Deluxe Resorts to see these incredible gingerbread creations. Many of these displays sell some fantastic gingerbread items, so be sure to save some funds for these special Christmas treats.
Sunset Seasons Greetings at Hollywood Studios
Stick around in the evening at Hollywood Studios for this special seasonal experience. Each night at Hollywood Studios immerse yourself in the holidays by walking down Sunset Boulevard. Snow will fall and the billboards will shine, taking you back to a different era of Christmas. A projection show will take place on Hollywood Tower Hotel featuring Minnie and Mickey, characters from Toy Story, The Swedish Chef and Olaf. Stand in the middle of Sunset Blvd. and be delighted by this special holiday show.
Jingle Bell, Jingle Bam!
During the month of December you can enjoy a special holiday projection show on the Chinese TheatreThis show last approximately 15 minutes. It plays nightly at 8:30pm. You can make enjoying this show extra special by participating in the Dessert Party. For $79 per adult and $45 per child you can enjoy delicious cupcakes and other delicacies as well as alcoholic beverages for those 21 years and older.
Disney’s Yuletide Fantasy
Take a 3.5 hour tour and discover all that’s involved in dressing the parks for Christmas. You’ll be taken through Epcot, Magic Kingdom and discover all the magic of decorating a Disney resort. Tours can only be taken by those 12 and up, and guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. This tour costs $139 but park admission is not required for this special activity. Call (407) 939-8687 to make a reservation for you and your party. This event takes place daily at 9am with the exception of Sundays.

Disney’s Holiday D-Lights
Embark on a 6 hour tour, taking you up close and personal with all the lightning and magic of the holidays. Your tour guide will take you to the Magic Kingdom where you’ll learn about the lightning of Cinderella’s Castle and get a special viewing of the evening lighting. Tour members will then head to Epcot to enjoy the Candlelight Processional and then to Illuminations. The tour involves a meal at the Wilderness Lodge at the beginning of evening. Pop Warner National Cheer & Dance Championship
Going on at the ESPN Wide World of Sports December 1st to 8th is a Cheer and Dance competition. Perfect for your little performers to go and watch. Whether they’re already involved in cheer, or were years before. With it being the championship you can be sure that the performances will be stellar. Be aware there will be many teams staying at the All-Star resorts during this competition. This could be a fun way to spend an afternoon while you’re staying at Walt Disney World Resort. Get transportation at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort or Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort.
Pop Warner Super Bowl
Taking place between December 1st and 8th, come watch youngsters compete in football. This big championship tournament will mean an increase in families at the parks and at the participation hotels. If your child is interested in football this is a great way to expose them and show them that football is for all age levels. These football games take place at the ESPN Wide World of Sports. You can get here by getting transportation from Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort and Disney’s All-Star Sports resort.

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party
The Magic Kingdom will celebrating Christmas with special parades, special characters and special food. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is a special event that requires guest to purchase separate tickets for entry. If you are enjoying your day at the Magic Kingdom on one of these nights, you’ll have to leave by 7pm if you don’t have tickets for this special event. Tickets are $99 for adults or $109 depending on the date, $94 for kids or $104 depending on the date and of course children 3 and under are free. During this Christmas party guests can enjoy Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration (a festive stage show in front of Cinderella’s Castle), and Holiday Wishes, a special fireworks show that is only on the nights of these Christmas Parties. Throughout the evening Elsa will transform the castle into an icy palace, guests can join in on a special dance party with some of their favourite characters in Tomorrowland and guests can wander around the Magic Kingdom to try all the different holiday treats.

Disney After Hours-Magic Kingdom
Have Magic Kingdom to yourselves. With the purchase of a Disney After Hours ticket, you’ll have access to Magic Kingdom with minimal crowds. The majority of the attractions will be opening as well as special character experiences. From 10pm until 1am guests with Disney After Hours tickets will be able to run around Magic Kingdom and enjoy ice cream bars, popcorn and drinks, included in admission. Prices for these special event tickets are $125 per adult/child or $90 per adult/child if you’re a DVC member or an Annual Passholder.

Holiday Dinner for DVC Members
DVC members will join together in one of the Contemporary Resort’s Ballrooms to celebrate Christmas Eve. There will be many activities, including a kid’s craft station and festive themed games. There’ll be an appearance by some beloved Disney characters and there will be an incredible meal inspired by the holiday traditions from around the world. The event is from 3pm until 5pm and costs 76.95 per adult and 39.95 per child.
December 27th-31st
Disney Boys Soccer Showcase
Taking place from December 27th until the 31st you can watch top clubs participate in highly competitive soccer games. Ages ranging from 11 to 19, this is a fun way to spend an afternoon on a non-park day, especially if you have a soccer enthusiast in your group. Find transportation at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort or Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort.
December 30th
New Year’s Eve Eve DVC Dessert Party
This special event takes place in one of the Contemporary’s ballrooms and is for DVC members and their guests. This year will feature Pixar friends. Cost is $86.50 for adults and $44.50 for kids 3-9. They’ll be games, a special view of the fireworks at the Magic Kingdom, music, special character visits and of course a delicious menu. Come and celebrate the new year with some fellow DVC members.
December 28th-January 1st
Disney New Year’s Baseball Classic
This competition is open to boys teams only. Ranging in 8 and under to 18 and under, this tournament is open to all. You can register you team and participate in this tournament at the most magical place on earth. Have a baseball fan in your group, head to the ESPN Wide World of Sports to check out a game on an off day. Your park hopper pass will get you into one of the games.
