Where You Can Meet Goofy at Disney World
Goofy has been around almost as long as the founding Mickey Mouse. He has always been popular, his happy go lucky nature is refreshing and always comical. He even had his own TV show in the 90’s which propelled him into his own feature film, A Goofy Movie. Goofy is clearly still a loved character because he is found at every single park, and at a few dining experiences. Some of these character meals are found at resorts which means you don’t even need park admission to meet Goofy. Take a look where you can meet this beloved character on your next Disney vacation. A word of advice, be very aware of the angle of your picture. If you take a picture of Goofy too low, you won’t see his eyes, you’ll just get his massive nose. So make sure to stand up.
Magic Kingdom
Pete’s Silly Sideshow
Meet the Greet Goofini. At this character experience Goofy is dressed up as his alter ego, Goofini. The daredevil stuntman, appropriately across from his Barnstormer. Pete’s Silly Sideshow is found in a big top tent in the heart of Storybook Circus in Fantasyland. This character experience has two separate lines, one is for meeting Goofy and Donald, and the other is for meeting Minnie Mouse and Daisy Duck. Make sure to get in the line for Goofy and Donald. You’ll meet Goofy first and then Donald Duck. After you meet both characters you’ll go into Big Top Souvenirs. You’ll have to enter Pete’s Silly Sideshow again if you want to meet Minnie Mouse and Daisy Duck. This character spot does not have FastPass.
Epcot
Epcot Character Spot
Meet Goofy, along with Minnie and Mickey, at this character experience. Goofy is dressed in his everyday attire. Blue pants, orange shirt, big green hat. He’s always larger than life. This character spot is popular and there’s nothing for littles to do to pass the time, so I would recommend getting a FastPass for this character meeting if it’s a must do on your list. This character spot is found in Future World. Directly behind Fountain View, a quick-service restaurant. Coming from the Future World Fountain, make your way towards The Land and The Sea and you’ll find this character spot on your left.
Hollywood Studios
Goofy on Grand Avenue
Find Goofy sporadically throughout the afternoon in Hollywood Studios. Right around Star Tours and Sci-Fine Drive In, you’ll find Goofy taking pictures and signing autographs. He’ll be accompanied by a cast member but he’s not sheltered and neither is the line. He’s wearing his standard uniform: blue pants, orange shirt and green hat. If you happen to be in this area in the afternoon grabbing a showing of Muppets 3D or meeting Olaf you may want to sneak a picture in with this goof. Grand Avenue is found at the back of Hollywood Studios past Star Tours before Muppet Vision 3D. You can expect to find Goofy here between 1pm and 4pm.
At lunch and dinner, come to this buffet and meet Goofy. He’s one of many Disney characters featured at Hollywood & Vine’s lunch and dinner servings. You’ll never know how Goofy will be dressed at this dining experience. The costumes are influenced by the season or holiday. You’ll also meet Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Daisy and Donald Duck. Lunch is served from 11:20am-3:00pm and dinner is served from 3:20pm-8:00pm. The breakfast serving at this restaurant features Disney Junior! characters so be sure not to make a reservation for that seating if you’re hoping to meet Goofy. Hollywood & Vine is found around Echo Lake and accepts the dining plan.
Animal Kingdom
Goofy makes an appearance in DinoLand U.S.A. as a part of Donald’s DinoBash. You’ll find him close to the Primeval Whirl. This is a first come first serve meet and greet. So you may be waiting a long time or a short time. Just depends on how many people are here when you are.
Meet Goofy along with Mickey, Daisy and Donald at this character buffet. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, get Goofy’s picture and autograph and maybe even a couple hugs. Goofy will come to your table while you’re enjoying your meal. He’s dressed as though he’s about to jump on the Kilimanjaro Safari. Reservations are hard to come by because this is one of four table service restaurants at the Animal Kingdom so do your best to get reservations in advanced. Or use these tricks to get a last minute reservation. Tusker House is found in Africa. Immediately to your left as your approaching Kilimanjaro Safari or directly in front of the Festival of the Lion King.
Resort Restaurants
Located at the Contemporary Resort, a Magic Kingdom Resort, Chef Mickey’s is a buffet style restaurant. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. At Chef Mickey’s you’ll meet Goofy, Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Pluto, all dressed as chefs. Each character will come to your table, sign your autograph book and take a picture. Chef Mickey’s is found on the fourth floor of the Contemporary, you can find it by riding up the escalators or taking the elevator. This is a great spot to meet Goofy, with his stripped pants and chef’s hat. Breakfast is served from 7am-11:15am, brunch is from 11:30am-2:30pm and dinner is from 5pm-9:30pm. With a 7am reservation at Chef Mickey’s you could still get into the Magic Kingdom early. Chef Mickey’s is popular so plan to reserve in advance.
Cape May Cafe offers a breakfast buffet and a dinner buffet but you can only meet characters during the breakfast meal. At the breakfast meal Goofy will be featured along with Minnie Mouse and Donald Duck. They’re all dressed in their beach side attire. Breakfast is served between 7:30am-11:00am. Cape May Cafe is found at the Beach Club resort on Crescent Lake.
Garden Grove
At Walt Disney World’s Swan Hotel you’ll find the Garden Grove restaurant. This restaurant is home to a character dining experience that hosts two characters nightly and for breakfast on the weekends. Many times it will be Goofy and Pluto but there’s really no guarantee. You can just be sure it will be characters from the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse gang. Dinner is served from 5pm to 9:30pm. This restaurant does not accept the dining plan and does not allow MagicBands as a form of payment.
With 9 places to meet Goofy, you can make this a part of one of your park days or meet Goofy at one of the many dining options. Regardless of your decision, there are plenty of opportunities to meet him once, twice, maybe even 5 times during your Disney vacation. Happy Planning, Friends.
