5 Reasons We Stay at Disney Parks From Park Open to Park Close
Walt Disney World is home to 4 theme parks. Each park has its own central theme and is made up of areas that work within that design. Each park is filled with rides, entertainment, shops and delicious dining experiences. During our Walt Disney World vacations we choose to head to the parks from open to close. Here’s 5 reasons by we arrive at the parks at rope drop and stick around until the end of the nighttime entertainment.
1. Park Tickets

We don’t do park days each day of our vacation. We carve out days that we don’t go to the parks at all, we call these our non-park days. On those days we hang by the pool, shop at Disney Springs, resort hop, pool hop, take in a dinner show. There are endless ways to spend your time at Disney World outside of the four theme parks. Because we don’t spend each day of our vacation going to one of the theme parks, the days we DO go to the parks we stay there all day long. By doing this we actually have a more restful vacation because the days we stay away from the parks are much more relaxed. We also save a lot of money by not buying park passes for each day of our trip.
2. We Create Park Quiet Time

Even when we are at the parks we create some quiet time during our visit. When the kids were younger, we’d buckle them in the stroller, recline the chair and walk around until they were snoozing. We’d then take turns going on rides while the kids got some much needed rest. Now in lieu of park naps we take time to watch some of the shows that take you away from the crowd and out of the sun. It’s amazing how watching a staging of Country Bears Jamboree can really revitalize you for the second part of your day. We also have at least one good sit down meal during our park days at a park restaurant. Which leads us into the next point.
3. We Dine in the Parks

During our park days we do not go anywhere else to dine. We don’t choose to grab a meal at the popular Chef Mickey’s or 1900 Park Fare, we stay at the park. We always have one sit down meal. These meals give us a chance to sit down, relax a bit, talk about what we’ve done so far and what we’re going to do. Most importantly, we fuel our bodies with a good meal.
4. We Do it All

Another reason we stay at the parks from park open until park close is because we do it all. On our honeymoon we tried to go on every attraction and see every stage show and meet all the characters. We didn’t want to exclude anything because we thought it was just for kids. That trip made us realize that all aspects of the parks are fantastic! Whether it’s flying on the Astro Orbiter at Magic Kingdom’s Tomorrowland or touring through the greenhouses on Living with the LAND. So when we are at the parks we try to do as much of the parks as we possibly can.
5. We Love it!

We absolutely love Disney World. We love the resorts, we love the parks, we love it all. We don’t even need to be riding the fantastic rides to enjoy ourselves. I love to wander through the pavilions that make up World Showcase or all the unique shops in the Magic Kingdom. To gaze at the intricate details that make Toy Story Land and Galaxy’s Edge so very believable. This is one of the many reasons we became Disney Vacation Club members because we truly enjoy being submerged in the world of Disney.
Those are the reasons why it makes sense for our family to get to the parks at park open and stay until park close. Many people choose to go to the parks in the morning and then head back to resort in the afternoon for some R&R but that’s just not our speed.
