One of the things I’ve come to love about our Disney vacations is eating! I used to love our dining experiences at all the fantastic restaurants, but over the last couple vacations I’ve begun a tradition of creating a list of snacks I want to seek and find at some of the smaller dining locations. The list I come up with is based off of pictures I’ve seen on instagram. On our last trip I wasn’t able to eat as many of my items because we were on the Deluxe Dining Plan and I was so full from all the delicious meals I had no room for snacks. For this trip we won’t be on the dining plan which leaves plenty of room for all these delicious items. So take a look at the items I’ve come up with for this coming trip.
Epic Eats. Funnel Cake with Cookies and Cream. Hollywood Studios.
At Hollywood Studios is Epic Eats, located in front of Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular! Epic Eats is home to an assortment of funnel cakes. There’s funnel cakes with powdered sugar, strawberries and cookies and cream. I’m assuming this is one I’m going to have to share.
Eight Spoon Cafe. Baked Mac & Cheese Pulled Pork. Animal Kingdom
Eight Spoon Cafe is in the Animal Kingdom on Discovery Island. This Eight Spoon Cafe has only a few things on its menu all centred around Macaroni and Cheese. This can be with shrimp on it, pulled pork or on its own. I’m going to give the pulled pork variety a try.
Sleepy Hollow. Fresh Fruit Waffle Sandwich. Magic Kingdom.
Sleepy Hollow is found in Liberty Square at the Magic Kingdom. This little spot has delicious offerings: ice cream cookie sandwich, and great big waffles. These waffles come with chicken, powdered sugar, strawberries and fresh fruit. That’s the one I’m going to be having.
Polite Pig. Chocolate Chip Cookie. Disney Springs.
Polite Pig is a quick-service restaurant known for its pulled pork but what I constantly see pictures of on instagram is this Chocolate Chip Cookie that they carry. This is a snack item I’ve had on my list before. In past vacations the line for Polite Pig has been so long that I haven’t marked this one off the list. This will be the trip my friends.
Elephant Ear Pastry. Kusafiri Coffee Shop and Bakery. Animal Kingdom.
Another item on the list for Animal Kingdom is the Elephant Ear Pastry. I’ve always loved a good breakfast pastry. That’s one of the reasons I love breakfast at Trattoria al Forno, they have pastry appetizers with your meal. The Elephant Ear Pastry is found at Kusafiri Coffee Shop in Africa. The Elephant Ear Pastry is dipped partly in chocolate and big enough to share. I can already picture myself pairing this with an Irish Coffee before heading to our Festival of the Lion King FastPass.
You’ll notice I don’t have anything picked out for Epcot. I know for sure I want to grab a few items from the France Pavilion. We are visiting Epcot twice during this vacation. Once at the beginning of our trip and for a second time on the day of Jeff’s marathon. I’d love to select an item from Les Halles Boulangerie & Patisserie and from L’Artisan des Glaces. But I don’t want to narrow my choices down now. I want to be enticed by the creations in front of me. Check out my favourite snack items from our last family vacation here. Don’t worry, I’ll still have my fair share of Mickey’s Premium Ice Cream Bars. No trip to Disney is complete without one. Happy Planning, Friends.
