1 Bedroom Villa at Boulder Ridge Wilderness Lodge
On our vacation last January to Walt Disney World we enjoyed a multi resort stay with our Disney Vacation Club points. Our family of four, which turned into 5 when my mother joined us at the end of our vacation, stayed in 1 bedroom villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs, Boulder Ridge at Wilderness Lodge and Disney’s Boardwalk Villas. Today’s post is going to give all the details you need to know about a 1 bedroom villa at Boulder Ridge at Wilderness Lodge. From the most important details to the least.
Boulder Ridge is a Disney Vacation Club property found on the Eastern Side of the Wilderness Lodge. This Disney Vacation Club resort was built in 2000 and has continued to experience refurbishments over the last 19 years. At Boulder Ridge you enjoy privacy and exclusivity. The guests of the Wilderness Lodge stick to the main building and Boulder Ridge is mostly enjoyed by those staying within the building. The Boulder Ridge Cove Pool is only accessible by guests staying at Boulder Ridge. Guests must use their MagicBand or room key to gain access to the pool. There’s a private concierge working for guests of Boulder Ridge. This concierge is found in the Boulder Ridge lobby and will help you with dining reservations, park information or will brightening the day of you and your family.
Boulder Ridge has five floors. The first floor offers patios instead of balconies, which is great if you have a napping child and one parents wants to sneak away to the pool without disturbing the child. There’s pool and water views, forest views and lodge views.
A 1 bedroom villa can sleep 4 people. 5 if you are in need of a crib or playpen. The beds provided in this room are a king size bed, found in the master bedroom, and a pull out couch. If you’re a cozy family you could certainly sleep three in the king size bed and two on the pull out couch. We slept five in this room. My mom and daughter shared the king size bed. My husband and I shared the pull out and Lincoln slept on the kid size blow up mattress we brought along.
There are two closets in the 1 bedroom villas. One is in the entry way. Great for jackets, dresses and suits for those signature dining experiences, and costumes. The other closet is a walk in closet found in the master bathroom. This closet is the perfect place to store your luggage during the course of your stay.
In here you’ll find your safe. Where you can keep you passport, travel money, precious jewels and sceptres. Here is where the iron and ironing board are stored, as well as a warm blanket. There is one more closet that has the washer and dryer. There’s no room for storage in the washer and dryer closet.
In Boulder Ridge’s 1 bedroom villas, guests have one stand up shower, one soaker tub and one toilet, all in different areas. The stand up shower is accessible from both the main living space and the master bedroom.
Off of the shower room is the toilet room, which is hidden behind a barn door. So make sure to check with everyone before jumping into the shower. The shower is a glassed in shower, so you’ll have no privacy if someone needs to run in to use the toilet. The shower room has a mirror and a sink. In both the toilet room and the shower room are towel racks which work great to hang wet clothes or bathing suits. There’s also a line found in the shower.
The soaker tub is in the master bedroom. It has jets and a well styled faucet. Everything about these bathrooms are saturated in the theme of Wilderness Lodge. Dark wood doors, rocks around the mirror, and the deep red cabinetry. In the master bedroom, along side the soaker tub is a large vanity with a sink. This vanity has lots of drawers and cupboards.
An ample kitchen is found in the 1 bedroom villas at Boulder Ridge. With a full sized fridge, oven and stove stop, double sink with garburator, and dishwasher. Dish wares are provided in the upper cupboards and utensils are found in the drawers. All of these things make your 1 bedroom villa feel more and more like home during your stay. The kitchen is open to the main living space, with a high top breakfast bar.
Two stools are ready to use. A round table is close by, found below a lantern style light. Have breakfast here before setting out for a park day or bring back some food from Roaring Fork or Geyser’s Point for a relaxing lunch or dinner.
There are two TVs in the 1 bedroom villas. One in the master bedroom and one in the main living area. Parents can enjoy their favourite shows while kids doze in the other room or kids can enjoy some cartoons in the early morning hours while parents grab a few more minutes of shut eye.
Two balconies or patios, depending on which floor you’re on, are found in the Boulder Ridge 1 bedroom villas. One is off the master bedroom, and one is off the main living space. The two are not connected. Each balcony or patio has proper furniture provided.
Seating. Each room, the master bedroom and the main living space, have club chairs. With lights close by. The main living space, of course, has the sofa bed, which has a side table beside it with a lamp.
There are drawers galore at this villa. A dresser is in the main living space underneath the TV. A dresser underneath the TV in the master bedroom. A settee with drawers at the bottom in the master bedroom. Two bedside tables beside the king size bed in the master bedroom. If you like to unpack and get settled for your Disney vacation, then this is the place for you.
We’ve loved our time here. The 1 bedroom villas at Boulder Ridge provide guests with a large amount of space and all the items you’ll need for a relaxing stay. One of the things I love most about these DVC villas is the attention to detail. Found in the lighting, the doors, cabinetry and decor. Staying here will be a delight for you and your family. Happy Planning, Friends.
