Mickey’s faithful dog, Pluto has been along for the ride for almost as long as Mickey has. So you can imagine he’s found at many locations around Walt Disney World. You can meet him at each of the four theme parks and at a couple of character dining experiences found in and out of the theme parks.
Right by the flag pole, at the entrance of the Magic Kingdom, you can meet a couple of Mickey’s closest pals and Pluto is one of them. This is a pop up location so there’s no FastPasses for this meet and greet and there’s no guarantee when Pluto will be there. He appears periodically throughout the morning between 9am and 1pm. Grab a photo with him after meeting Mickey Mouse, which is steps away at the Town Square Theatre or after grabbing your little’s 1st haircut at Harmony Barber Shop. Don’t forget, the train is located close by so after meeting Pluto you can hop on the transportation and let it take you to Frontierland or Fantasyland.
Garden Grill Restaurant
One of the character dining experiences found at Epcot, Garden Grill, hosts Pluto, Mickey and Chip n Dale. This restaurant is an all-you-care to enjoy style, so the servers will bring you platter after platter until you’ve had your fill. You can dine here for breakfast, lunch or dinner. It’s a 1 table meal credit for those on the dining plan. This puts you in a perfect spot to head to Soarin’ or Livin in the Land pre or post meal. Pluto will come right up to your table, so you don’t even have to wait in line for him! Be sure to book ahead of time because this is one of two character dining locations in Epcot.
Legacy Plaza West
At the entrance of Epcot you can meet Mickey Mouse’s favourite dog, Pluto. You can find him in the afternoon taking pictures with guests and signing autographs.
Periodically throughout the afternoon, Pluto can be found along with his buddy Goofy in Grand Avenue. Grand Avenue is the area by Muppets 3D. Pluto and Goofy show up in this area in the afternoon at Hollywood Studios. There’s no clear location, so you can’t really line up ahead of time but just keep your eyes peeled.
In DinoLand U.S.A. Donald Duck is hosting a party and Pluto is one of his attendees. He spends sometime in the Boneyard so you may have to search around for him. At this party you can also meet Daisy Duck, Goofy, Chip n Dale, Launchpad and Scrooge. This character experience happens throughout the day, I wouldn’t plan to stop here first thing because most of the area doesn’t open until 10am and therefore there’s not much else for you to do in this area at park open.
A must do dining experience, Chef Mickey’s has all the main characters in one spot: Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald and Pluto. A buffet style restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, diners will enjoy eating their meal while they wait for the five characters come around and take pics and sign autographs. You can eat here as early as 7am and as late as as 9:30pm. So whether you’re looking to get an early meal before your park day or finish off an epic day with a delicious character meal, Chef Mickey’s is the spot to go. Check out this previous post on how we got a free meal here.
Pluto is always a fun character to meet, every time we’ve met him he’s been very interactive. I would opt to meet him at a character dining experience because you never know how long those pop up character meeting places will be. Happy Planning, Friends.
