Yak & Yeti Local Food Cafes

One of the most popular places to grab lunch at the Animal Kingdom, Yak & Yeti’s is a place where you head up to the counter and order then bring your food on a tray back to your table. Because it’s such a busy spot make sure to have one of your party members grab a table while the other grabs the food. The seating is all outdoors. What makes Yak & Yeti so popular is the location, many guests find themselves in Asia by mid day and Yak & Yeti’s is so obvious. It’s not tucked away, it’s right on the path, you can’t miss it. We’ve eaten here a few times and loved our meals, they serve honey sesame chicken, teriyaki beef bowls, rib tips. So you’re getting a very substantial meal for a quick-service location. They are open at park open but start serving lunch around 11am.

Table Service

You definitely need an advanced reservation for this spot.

Yak & Yeti Restaurant

We love this restaurant. Found directly across from the bridge taking guests from Asia to Discovery Island, Yak & Yeti is a two floor restaurant that offers Asian inspired dishes. They open for lunch at 11am and serve until 3:30pm. They have a large menu, similar to the size of Rainforest Cafe, but the location is so much better because it’s in the middle of the park. You can grab lunch here after riding Kali River Rapids and before heading to the Kilimanjaro Safari. For a full review of the restaurant click the heading.

Although Animal Kingdom is on par with Hollywood Studios with their lack of dining options, they have much more variety. What you find in one area of the park drastically differs from what you’ll find on the other end of the park. Which means planning is definitely required, especially if you have picky eaters in your group. So take the time to explore your options before you end up eating just anywheres. Happy Planning, Friends.
