There are your standby snacks when it comes to eating at Disney World: popcorn, Mickey Ice Cream Bars, Mickey Ice Cream Sandwiches. These items can be found at a variety of carts located all around the parks but don’t miss out on the many more snacks found at little counter service restaurants. Today we’re looking at the many places found at the Magic Kingdom, click here for the post on Epcot’s many snacks. Many of these items count as dining plan snack credits but not all. Let’s dig in.
Main Street Confectionery
This store is home to candy apples and character apples. Character apples are apples decorated as different Disney characters. You’ll find Mickey Mouse apples, Minnie Mouse apples, Donald apples and specialty apples for the season you’re visiting in. The Main Street Confectionery makes treats right before your very eyes and is quite often sampling one of their offerings. Here you’ll also find great items for bring home with you: chocolate covered pretzels, lollipops, popcorn and more. You can also make up your own candy bag with different coloured jelly beans and m&m’s. If you have a sweet tooth this is a must stop.
Main Street Bakery
This is the Magic Kingdom Starbucks location. Here you’ll find your favourite Starbucks items: cake pops, muffins, cookies. They’ll even have a few items only found at Disney World. It’s a great choice for those who don’t like to steer away from their normal choices. And you can also count on some healthier choices.
Plaza Ice Cream Parlor
Found at the end of Main Street U.S.A. is the Plaza Ice Cream Parlour where you can grab an ice cream cone, an ice cream float or one of their sundaes. There are your standard flavours and there’s normally a seasonal flavour.
Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies
Here’s where you can cool off with a delicious milkshake or a smoothie. If you’re visiting during Halloween or Christmas, Auntie Gravity’s always has a special flavoured milkshake.
Cool Ship offers some cocktails but is also your Tomorrowland location for Churos. They’re cut up in smaller pieces, making them perfect for sharing.
The Friar’s Nook
Your savoury snack location in Fantasyland is the Friar’s Nook. The Friar’s Nook is home to tots dressed up with sauces, meats and veggies. They come in the buffalo chicken variety, loaded greek and fiesta. They also have a fried twinkie. A great spot to grab a snack to tide you over between a late breakfast and an early supper.
This counter service spot is constantly offering new treats. You can be sure if a new movie is in theatres there will be a new ice cream or float found here. Beyond that there are floats and soft serve ice cream.
Here’s where you’ll find Lefou’s Brew as well as the famous cinnamon bun. This cinnamon bun used to be found at the Main Street Bakery before it became Starbucks. They also have great sandwiches here making it a great place to stop and lunch.
Big Top Souvenirs
My favourite store in the whole Magic Kingdom is Big Top Souvenirs, found in Storybook Circus. In Big Top Souvenirs you’ll find refreshing slushies, popcorn, and all kinds of special treats. This is a must stop for me each trip, they always have one of a kind merchandise and treats.
Prince Eric’s Village Market
Found across from Ariel’s meet and greet, Prince Eric’s Village Market is where you’ll find fruit, hummus and crackers, and veggies. A great spot for grabbing a healthy snack.
Located around the corner from the Mad Tea Party, Cheshire Cafe carries a couple drink choices but it’s snack choice is the Cheshire Cat Tail, a pastry made to look like the Cheshire Cat’s Tail.
We love sitting across from Sleepy Hollow to watch the Festival of Fantasy Parade. Sleepy Hollow has huge waffles topped with fruit, chicken, or whipped cream. They also have the Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich. Definitely worth a stop.
Golden Oak Outpost
Waffle fries are Golden Oak Outpost’s claim to fame and they top these with all kinds good things: gravy and cheese, pulled pork, black beans and cheese. It’s only open from noon until 5pm.
Find things on a stick at this cart: candied bacon, chicken skewers and corn dogs. This is also where you can find the Country Bear Jug.
Prairie Outpost and Supply
This store is similar to Big Top Souvenirs, here you’ll find apparel, souvenirs, and special treats. Pick a treat from behind the domed glass: maybe a character apple, a huge piece of fudge or a gigantic cookie.
Sunshine Tree Terrace
Home to the Citrus Tree Swirl, Sunshine Tree Terrace is a visit on many people’s must try list. On the menu is also the orange cream float, citrus swirl cup and orange cream cup. These are all the perfect fix for a hot Florida day.
Dole Whip central, Aloha Isle is found at the exit of the Enchanted Tiki Room. Aloha Isle has only a couple items on its menu but that items visitors are looking for. Choose between Dole Whip Float or Dole Whip Cup.
