Disney Restaurants with the most Characters

Dining at Walt Disney World can be loads of fun. Especially when you choose to dine at one of their various character dining experiences. Now each of these dining experiences is different, some of them are buffet restaurants, some are found in the theme parks, some have princesses and others have Mickey and his friends. Another thing that makes them all different is the number of characters that appear during the course of the meal. The most characters you’ll meet at a Disney restaurant is five. The least amount you’ll meet is one. This isn’t necessarily reflected in the cost. The restaurants with the largest number of characters is not always going to be more expensive than one of the other character dining experiences. So if you’re looking to see as many characters as possible during your meal then these four restaurants are your best choices because all four have five characters.

Magic Kingdom

Cinderella’s Royal Table.

This restaurant is in Cinderella’s Castle and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. This meal requires you to pay ahead of time and is considered a signature restaurant. Upon entering the castle you’ll be greeted by Cinderella herself, and then be escorted up to the restaurant. The meal comes with appetizers, an entree, a dessert and a keepsake picture of you and Cinderella. During the course of your meal, four princesses will come to your table to interact with you, get a picture with you and sign your autograph book. The princesses present can depend but we’ve seen Ariel, Snow White, Princess Aurora and Princess Jasmine in the past.

Contemporary Resort

Chef Mickey’s.

This buffet-style restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and is the only place you can meet the Fab 5 (Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Pluto and Goofy). These 5 classic characters are dressed as chefs and servers, they’ll come around and meet you at your table during your meal. They’ll also dance along to a musical piece during your time at the restaurant.

Hollywood Studios

Hollywood & Vine.

For lunch and dinner only, you’ll be able to meet five characters. The five characters are Minnie, Mickey, Goofy, Donald and Daisy. During this character meal they are dressed to go along with the season. At Christmas time they’re dressed in festive attire, around Halloween they’re dressed in costumes, in Spring they’re wearing their Easter best and in the Summer they look ready to hit the beach. Just remember that if you’re after this character experience with the most characters you’ll have to dine here at lunch or dinner. Hollywood & Vine is the only character dining experience found at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, so it books up very quickly. You can find this buffet-style restaurant across from Echo Lake and beside 50’s Prime Time Cafe.

Grand Floridian Resort

1900 Park Fare.

The next group of restaurants listed have four characters that meet and greet you during your meal. Which is still a large number to get off your list during your Disney vacation.

Magic Kingdom

Crystal Palace.

This is our favourite buffet-style restaurant at Walt Disney World, the food here is delicious. You also get to meet four characters, two of which you can’t meet anywhere else on property, with the exception of Magic Kingdom special events. Tigger, Winnie the Pooh, Eeyore and Piglet all appear throughout each of the meals served here. You can dine here for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The restaurant is located in the courtyard in front of Cinderella’s Castle. You can dine here even before the park even opens, gaining you entry before other guests.

Sometimes other characters appear but Belle will always be there because you meet here as soon as you enter the restaurant. This restaurant is found in the Norway Pavilion and has a buffet for breakfast and plated meals for the remainder of the meal times. The great thing about this restaurant is it only requires 1 table service meal credit when on the dining plan and you get appetizers, entrees and dessert for lunch and dinner. Four princesses and three courses for only 1 table service meal credit, makes this a great character meal choice.

Garden Grill.

Garden Grill is found in Epcot’s The Land. This restaurant rotates slowly, giving you a view of the attraction Living with the Land during your meal. The characters that are found at Garden Grill are: Mickey Mouse, Chip n Dale, and Pluto. This is the only character dining experience that has Chip n Dale. Cape May Cafe.

Another place to meet some classic characters is Cape May Cafe. This restaurant used to only have three characters but has now increased to four. Here, at breakfast only, you can meet Goofy, Daisy Duck, Donald Duck and Minnie Mouse, all dressed appropriately for the beach. With the close proximity to Epcot, this is a great place to start an Epcot park day.

Similar to Akershus Royal Banquet Hall and Trattoria al Forno, you’re going to pay a flat rate for a three course meal at this character restaurant. You’ll be served an appetizer, entree and dessert. This restaurant is only open for dinner and is found in the beautiful Magic Kingdom resort, Wilderness Lodge. The characters you’ll meet are Snow White, Dooper, Grumpy and the Evil Queen. And friends, this is the only plate to meet these two dwarfs and the Evil Queen.
