There are 4 dining plans offered to guests of the Disney World resorts. Guests choosing the Deluxe Dining Plan, Disney Dining Plan Plus and the Disney Dining Plan all gives guests meal credits to be used at table service restaurants/buffet restaurants. These restaurants are found at the Disney parks, resorts and Disney Springs.
At most of these restaurants one meal credits per guest will be required. There are select restaurants that actually required 2 meal credits per guest. These restaurants are signature restaurants and the dinner shows. They require 2 credits because these are high end restaurants and the cost of entree, desserts and beverages are much higher than their counterparts.
To compare, a Rib-Eye Steak at Le Cellier is going to cost you $57. Whereas a steak at The Plaza Restaurant at Disney’s Magic Kingdom is going to be $29. The service at these restaurants are also above standard. These servers are knowledgeable of all the items on the menu, many have worked for years in these restaurants. They can also steer you towards the best drinks to accompany your meal.
We have loved discovering the many Signature restaurants found on property, the only Signature restaurant that we have brought our kids to as of yet is Cinderella’s Royal Table. At this stage, we think the added meal credit from our kids dining plan doesn’t justify how much of the meal they would be eating. And they wouldn’t enjoy it anymore or less than any of the other meals.
We took full advantage of the 2 meal credit restaurants on our babymoon. We were on the Deluxe Dining Plan, which gives you 3 meal credits for each night of your stay. So we ate at a Signature restaurant or dinner show each night of our stay. And friends, these restaurants are worth the extra cost and extra credit.
Now which of the restaurants found at Walt Disney World require these 2 precious credits. Take a look at the list below, they are categorized by location. Click the restaurant for more information:
